Now returning to Dorset, Paul graduated from Falmouth College of Arts in 1995 after A-Levels and Foundation in Poole and Bournemouth, Dorset. As a graphic fine artist intrigued by nature, he works exclusively in graphite and is interested in the detail, texture and tone found in wood, water and stone, and is inspired by elements of the ancient landscape and stories of Wessex.
Paul has shown work at various exhibitions across the South West, including the Bath Society of Artists, Mariners Gallery in St Ives and the Royal West of England Academy as well as in London and France. He is a member of The Arborealists and an Associate Member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art.
Paul works as the event coordinator for Somerset Art Weeks and previously as a trustee and curator for Black Swan Arts in Frome, Somerset. He is also the curator of a recent touring exhibition, ‘The Transformed Land’ and regularly writes walks in West Dorset for The Bridport Times. In 2019 he showed with the Arborealists in Loudun, France as well as curating a show with the group and Somerset Art Works members at Fyne Court as part of Somerset Art Weeks Festival. He also featured in a publication and open submission exhibition, Drawing on Dorset, with other artists making work on, of or about Dorset.
